Getting Started with a Semi-Absentee Franchise

A semi-absentee franchise is a great way to get started in business without having to put all of your eggs in one basket while enjoying the benefit of a passive residual income earning asset.

You can invest in a semi-absentee franchise and still maintain your day job while someone else runs the day-to-day operations of the business. This low-risk, high-reward model is perfect for people who want to be their own boss but don't want to go all-in on a business.

Our client Tom was able to get started with a semi-absentee franchise for under $250,000, and he didn't have to quit his day job to do it.

We introduced him to the franchise and helped him get started, with this very profitable business to own and he was up and running in no time.

On his first day open, he made $44,000 in sales and he's on track to make even more residual income as the business grows.

Another one of our clients made $52,000 in one day with the same franchise!

If you're looking for an opportunity to make great money passively without quitting your day job, a semi-absentee franchise is the perfect solution.

Talk to us today about getting started with your own semi-absentee franchise. We'll help you find the right opportunity and get you on your way to making big profits.

What Is Investor Ownership of a Franchise?

Absentee (investor model) ownership of a franchise means you own the franchise without working there 9-5.

With the help of your franchisor, you put in place a management team and employees to run the day-to-day operations of the franchise business.  In some cases, you may not even live near the physical location of the franchise. Some 100% absentee franchises even let you own a business that is in a different state as they operate the franchise business for you for a fee around  5%.

Semi-absentee ownership is similar to full absentee ownership, but you may have more of a role in the operations of the franchise and plan to dedicate about ten hours a week to the franchise business.  You still outsource most of the operations, but you may check in and assist when necessary or personally oversee the operations from time to time.

Does the Franchise Generate

Enough Cash Flow?

For absentee, you want to own a franchise that has high cash flow (cash flow is money left over after operating expenses have been paid).  If you want to be an absentee owner of a franchise, that franchise has to be able to support a manager and employees and still have a healthy profit around 10% - 15% net to make it worth your investment.

If you invest in  a franchise that does not generate this type of cash flow, you will need to be an owner-operator.  In that case, you did not buy a business, you bought a job.

We help you avoid these types of franchises and invest in the right franchise.

Keep your full-time job with an absentee business

You can build a profitable business with a strong semi-absentee/ absentee model in all kinds of industries. From repair services, frozen yogurt franchises, salon franchises, fitness centers, there truly is a franchise investment for everyone.

Semi absentee franchise ownership vs. 100% absentee owner

What type of ownership is the right business opportunity for you?

With a semi-absentee franchise, you can visit the location when you want and get involved in the business if you want. You're not tied to the business like you would be if you were an owner-operator.

A 100% absentee owner, on the other hand, is completely hands-off. They may never visit the franchise location and pay the franchisor a fee to run their franchise.

Both are great paths toward building a lucrative career as a franchise owner and investor.

Let's explore how these franchise opportunities can meet your objectives.

What are the Benefits of Being an Absentee Franchise Owner?

There are many benefits of being an absentee franchise owner. These include:

1. You can keep your full-time job while you build your business

2. You have more time for family and friends

3. You can live anywhere you want

4. You can enjoy steady growth while someone else manages the daily operations of your franchise business.

What are the Drawbacks of Being an Absentee Franchise Owner?

There are a few drawbacks to being an absentee franchise owner, such as:

1. You may have less control over the business

2. You're relying on someone else to run your business

3. You may need to visit the franchise location from time to time

The great thing is you can make extra money while a manager runs your franchise.

Liquid capital requirements are indeed higher for these types of franchises. But with the right business, you can make a lot of money while working less and enjoying more freedom with real passive income.
