The story
In 2015, Matt and Megin Sharp started KidStrong for their daughter, Ella. They wanted a program that built strength, confidence and character, not just one sport. Lincoln Brown joined them to turn it into a franchise, and the first center opened in Frisco, Texas, in 2018.
KidStrong ended 2025 with 167 locations and 51 more signed. Multi-unit operators are signing large development deals, and in 2026 Princeton Equity Group invested to help it grow.

Owners in their own words
The main thing that sold me on KidStrong is that it's science-based social-emotional, mental, and physical training. There wasn't an overall development option for children. There were specific sports and activities, but not a full, well-rounded program. That's what caught my attention.
We have never owned a franchise before so this entire process has been filled with new experiences, but the team that KidStrong provides is extremely knowledgeable and helpful.
It fits the place I'm at in life — being a parent and wanting to be involved in a program that's a positive influence on our community and our youth. It aligned perfectly with my personal values.
As a new dad, I am excited to give my daughter and other kids in the community an opportunity to grow and discover their own superpowers through KidStrong.
This is a real estate business. You'll lease and build out a standard two-floor center of 3,200 to 4,000 square feet or a hybrid center of 2,300 to 3,000 square feet, and that's most of the investment.
Fees add up. The royalty rises from 7% to 8.5% after 18 months, plus brand fund, digital advertising, technology and software fees. Model them carefully.
The Item 19 shows sales, not profit. Ask current owners what their margins look like.
KidStrong is looking for owner-operators who will lead a team of coaches and stay involved.
Some centers change hands each year. In 2025, 16 transferred to new owners. Ask what drove those sales.
That's exactly why the questions you ask matter, and why we help you ask them.

The Franchise Insiders receives commissions on franchise purchases made through our referrals.
Our Team
Most franchise consultants have studied FDDs and attended Discovery Days. Our advisors have also operated franchises. We've managed employees, navigated slow ramp-ups, and learned that a business can be easy to buy and hard to sell.
That operating experience changes how we help you evaluate an opportunity.
